Subaru Coupe - first details

Update! Were first spy photos of future sports coupe from Subaru that was developed in collaboration with Toyota. The new model shares the same platform with Toyota FT-86 newly presentation concept, which will be released at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009.

Here are the first pictures of the new coupe from Subaru, tested on the Nurburgring circuit. Surprised prototype spy photos is in an early stage, having a body as the Impreza, shape and design of the series not yet completed.

These first pictures confirm however that Subaru will launch your own brand sports coupe developed in cooperation with Toyota, despite rumors that said that Subaru model has not yet received the green light for production.

Under the agreement between the two Japanese manufacturers, Toyota will deal with the coupe design, while Subaru will develop technical platform. Thus, the two models under the hood will most likely four-cylinder boxer engine from Subaru, the choice aspirated but turbocharged normal. Concept Toyota FT-86 as its model range forecast has already announced a 2.0-liter boxer engine.

Both coupe models will have rear-wheel drive and six-speed gearboxes as standard, but are expected and automatic gearbox. The price of the two models is expected around 22,000 Euro.
