Subaru Impreza STI launches limited edition "R205" with 320 hp

Subaru Tecnica International (STI) today announced a new version of the model performance Impreza, called "R205", offering 320 hp. The model will be sold on the market today in Japan in a limited edition only 400 units.

Based on the Impreza WRX STI, the new edition Subaru Impreza "R205" has improved dynamic performance, as a successor to the S203 and S204 models developed by TSI. The new R205 has new equipment and facilities and enjoy the exclusive design and performance components of the model "WRX STI spec C" released in 2009. "R" stands for "Road Sports" as the press release given today by Subaru.

2.0-liter boxer engine of the new Subaru Impreza R205 offers 320 hp (235 kW) at 6400 rum and 431 Nm at 4000 rpm, adopting a twin scroll turbo system, specifically designed, having also an ECU (Engine Control Unit) as amended. SI-DRIVE (SUBARU Intelligent Drive) is also available to accommodate the driver and various driving situations. Transmission is ensured by a manual gearbox with six gears.

Limited edition Impreza R205 has among other facilities and spoilers in November, a rear spoiler to improve aerodynamics and wheels 18 "Bridgestone exclusive" Potenza RE070.

Prices start of the new Subaru Impreza R205 is 4,510,000 yen (about 34,000 euros). Production is limited to 400 units.
