Tata Nano has problems with the electrical

Three happy holders of Tata Nano, the cheapest car in the world, said that their car caught fire while driving. The manufacturer does not consider a mass recall for repair, but will make technical checks, AFP announced.

Indian press reported that three drivers reported a fire started in the car I was driving, Tata Nano - world's cheapest car, which cost 100,000 rupees in base, about 1,500 euros.

Tata Motors, the manufacturer of the cheapest cars in the world says that there will be technical checks to determine the cause of incidents, most likely related to "minor short circuits. "No recall is not considered, but an audit of control could be launched from machines already sold, as a precautionary measure," said Debasis Ray, spokesman for the Indian group Tata Motors.

Company spokesman said that two of the three cars, "there was a bit of smoke, but no sign of fire", opining that "it is a minor short circuit. The third Nano incriminated could not be examined by the manufacturer.

I purchase a nano vehicle no. UP32-DD 2421.
Sub: Faulty clutch assembly
Iam a retired army personnel of 78 years and served army for about 35 years in EME (Electrical & Mechanical Engineer)
I have purchased a nano Cx (ivory white ) on 19th April 2010 and felt very proud when I went to take delivery of my vehicle as I was one of the customer who was allotted this car in the first lot. BUT ALAS!!!!!! after a period of only 2 months I was stuck in the mid-way when returning from Army hospital as its clutch failed.I called the toll free number to get the car towed by a reply came that their tow van is busy. So I myself have to get it towed to the dealer. The dealer changed the clutch assembly and gave the absurd reason that - MY DRIVING IS FAULTY AND I AM DRIVING THE CAR WITH FOOT ON CLUTCH PEDAL.
Again after 3 months on 27th September 2011 as soon as the same problem began to arise I again went to the dealer. This time their mechanic adjusted the clutch setting and assured me that there will be no problem again. BUT on 18th October the clutch failed again. My son Dr. Akshay went to the dealer as I was way away to Bangalore, The dealer’s mechanic surveyed the car and told me that you will get the car in 2-3 days and finally changed the clutch assembly again without any charge with the same reason but took the undertaking that next time they won’t change it again free as it does not come under the preview of warranty.
ALAS again on 17th February 2011 the same problem began to arise and called the tollfree no 1800-279-7979. They send a mechanic at my residence & as he again adjusted the clutch but advised me to take the car for final recheck & repair. I took the car to the dealer on 19th Feb once again. They asked me to come on 21st Feb 2011 as 20th being sunday. They asked me to pay for the service & parts finally changed after I assured that I would pay.
NOW AGAIN I AM FACING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY YEAR AND HALF OLD NANO. ONLY TODAY I AGAIN WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY ASSURED ME TO CHANGE THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY AFTER PAYING FOR IT………
NOW GUY’S ……..TELL WHAT TO DO…… TO WHOM SHOULD I COMPLAIN……..
THEY ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT MY FAULTY DRIVING . I HAVE BEEN DRIVING CARS OF VARIOUS MODELS & MAKES FOR LAST 50 YEARS, OLD & NEW BUT NEVER IN MY LIFE FACED SUCH A PROBLEM. SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS PROBLEM TILL I HAVE THIS CAR.
IS ANYONE FACING THE SAME PROBLEM with this car. Plz mail me onmj...@rediffmail.com
so that I can pursue my problem with higher authorities.
Thanks & regards
