The new 1.6 dCi 130 engine hp Energy debut Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic

Scenic and Grand Scenic Renault models are first entering the market with new Energy dCi 130 engine under the hood. 1.6 dCi diesel unit offers 130 hp and 320 Nm, with the best compromise between performance and fuel consumption.

Early 2011 marked the launch of its new range of engines from Renault Energy. They combine performance, driving pleasure and fuel economy, and the first to reach the market is called Energy dCi 130 engine. Built with the latest technology that covers 15 new patents registered, diesel engine 130 hp 1.6-liter engine is the strongest market segment in its capacity, with a maximum torque of 320 Nm at 1,500 rpm. Combining technologies such as eco Start-Stop and regenerative braking, the engine has a lower consumption and CO2 emissions by 20% compared to 1.9 dCi 130 hp unit it replaces, while maintenance costs are also lower.

Scenic and Grand Scenic Renault are the first models to be equipped with Energy dCi 130 engine. These MPVs Renault are consistent in terms of delivering a high performance with low CO2 emissions of 120 grams (117 grams CO 2 / km, equivalent to an average consumption of 4.5 litres/100 km).

In France, prices start to Scenic and Grand Scenic 1.6 dCi equipped with 130 horsepower starting at 27,350 Euro.
