The new Subaru Impreza, the first at New York Auto Show 2011

Subaru unveiled the first photo of the new generation Impreza, before the official debut at New York Auto Show. Available in 4 and 5 door body, the new Impreza comes on the market with a new design, an economic engine and wheel drive.

Subaru of America announced that the new Subaru Impreza 4-door and 5 will debut at the New York Auto Show (April 22-May 1, 2011). New Impreza promises an average consumption of 36 mpg (6.5 litres/100km) all-wheel-drive versions sold in the U.S., making it the most efficient model in its class.

Although not yet confirmed, the new Impreza may have under the hood the 2.0 liter boxer engine that develops 109 kW/146 hp and 196 Nm.

The new design will provide a more spacious interior an improved level of comfort and refinement, is shown in Subaru's press release.
