Three premieres at Frankfurt Volkswagen BlueMotion: Polo, Golf and Passat

Volkswagen will present the premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the newest and most feasible technologies for better fuel efficiency - the new generation Polo BlueMotion, Golf BlueMotion and Passat BlueMotion.

All three Volkswagen vehicles are the most efficient models in their category, and will be commissioned this autumn.

Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion - 3.3 litres/100 km:

The new Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion, with his 1.2 TDI engine developing 75 hp, needs an average of just 3.3 litres/100 km (equal to 87 g CO 2 / km) and becomes the most efficient model with five places in the world . Compared with the standard model with 75 hp TDI Polo, BlueMotion version has 20% fewer CO2 emissions and fuel consumption was improved by 0.9 litres/100 km. Thus, the autonomy model Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion 1.2 TDI reaches 1363 kilometers.

6 Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion - 3.8 litres/100 km:

The new Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion 6 under the hood is a 1.6-liter TDI engine that develops 105 hp. With consumption of just 3.8 litres/100 km (equal to 99 g CO 2 / km), is the most efficient model in its class, with a range of about 1447 kilometers. However, the Golf BlueMotion kept dynamic character, with acceleration from 0-100 km / h 11.3 seconds and top speed of 190 km / h. The new Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion will reach 6 European dealerships later this year.

Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion - 4.4 litres/100 km:

The autonomy of the new Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion can be considered record. With an average consumption of just 4.4 litres/100 km (114 g CO 2 / km), the model can browse, with one full tank of 70 liters, 1591 kilometers. Passat BlueMotion has the same 1.6 engine as the Golf TDI that develops 105 hp.

BlueMotion technology is based on three main systems that contribute to saving fuel: TDI, Start & Stop and regeneration of braking energy.
