Along with the tenth anniversary of the Prius, Toyota has published on its official first image up with the new hybrid derived from the famous Japanese MPV. The model could be officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The family extends Prius, Toyota says the panel photographed and published exclusively on Facebook, for fans of the Prius.

The photograph published by the Toyota Prius only see the outline of the new version, which compared with the original model is taller, longer, with a bit more space for rear passengers and luggage.

According to journalists at Motor Trend, MPV version of the popular Toyota Prius will be called Alpha. The new hybrid model will benefit from Toyota's first lithium-ion battery and can be configured with five or seven seats. The market is scheduled to arrive in March 2011.

The new version of the Toyota Prius could be officially presented at Los Angeles Auto Show (19 to 28 November 2010).
