Toyota temporarily stops production in Europe
Toyota Motor Corp. announced Wednesday it will suspend production in Europe for several days in April and May because of parts shortages caused by the devastating earthquake in March followed by a massive tsunami, Kyodo and AP informs.
The largest automobile manufacturer in the world said that production in five factories in Europe will be stopped for several days at the end of April and early May, writes Agerpres.
Magnitude earthquake and tsunami that followed the September 11 March destroyed several parts factory in northeastern Japan, causing a shortage for Toyota and other car manufacturers.
Toyota has already announced it will halt production in most of the 14 plants available to North American for five days in April.
