Toyota, Tundra model investigated for problems with product now 9 years

Toyota Motor is investigated by U.S. authorities for road safety, following complaints about corrosion Tundra pickup chassis model produced in 2000 and 2001.

Investigation takes place one week after the Japanese car manufacturer recalled to repair a record 3.8 million vehicles to address the risk that the acceleration is down accidentally by a moving car mat, matter suspected to be the basis of death five people.

National Traffic Safety Administration announced that it received 20 complaints about the Tundra model, 15 on the spare wheel detachment and five related to brake failure due to corrosion.

American Institute said that 218,000 vehicles are involved.

Toyota representatives were not available for comment.
