Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet makes its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2011
Volkswagen launches at the Geneva Auto Salon convertible version of the popular hatchback Golf VI. The four-seater has a soft fabric roof-top electro-hydraulic operated vehicle turning in just 9.5 seconds.
Volkswagen Cabriolet is basically a three-door hatchback, but receive a high level of independence in the rear roof lower profile and more inclined windscreen. Golf's image of the convertible is more dynamic bi-xenon headlights, optionally offered. The standard Golf Convertible enjoy rearlights over from the GTI version. Other safety features include a roll-bar-activated automatic rollover, front airbags, side thorax and the driver's knees, along with electronic stability control, ESP.
Volkswagen Golf Convertible is one of the quietest convertible roof today thanks to optimized fabric. The standard also benefit the operation of the hydraulic system makes the roof very quickly. It may be opened or closed while driving at speeds of up to 30 km / h.
The range of ready to power the Volkswagen Golf convertible model consists of six direct-injection turbocharged unit whose power varies between 77 kW / 105 PS and 155 kW / 210 hp. TSI petrol engines and one diesel are available with dual-clutch DSG transmission while three received BlueMotion technology. The Golf Convertible 105 hp 1.6 TDI and BlueMotion technology on average consumes only 4.4 liters per 100 km, the equivalent of 117 grams CO2 per kilometer.
New Golf 6 convertible, which will celebrate its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show (March 3 to 13, 2011) is available in Germany at a starting price of 23,625 euros (VAT 19% included).
