Volkswagen Polo R WRC Enters The Race In 2013

Volkswagen has officially announced that from 2013 races will participate in its WRC team will lead a model based on the Volkswagen Polo Polo R. R WRC will have a 300 hp 1.6 TDI four-wheel drive.

In front of 200 journalists, Ulrich Hackenberg, head of Volkswagen's Polo R concept unveiled WRC car will compete with Volkswagen since 2013. For Kris Nissen, Volkswagen Motorsport Director, and his team entered the World Rally Championship marks a new commitment: "I can not wait for this new challenge and working on this project with the same passion with which I won the Dakar Rally in the last three years."

After three consecutive victories in the Dakar Rally, Volkswagen has set a new target size in motorsport. The three cars involved in the championship, Rally provides an attractive and very competitive. By 2013, Volkswagen vehicle rally will develop a 1.6-liter TDI about 300 hp and four-wheel drive, based on the Polo model range.
