Volvo C30 presents Detroit Electric with a range of about 150 km

At the Detroit Auto Show, Volvo will present a complete electrical model C30 with an autonomy of 150 km. The next step will be to build a test fleet of 50 vehicles that will be used in real traffic conditions in 2011.

Volvo introduced an electric prototype in September, and now the C30 model shown in Detroit is a further step in the development process. The new Volvo C30 electric vehicle "drive" now receive a full interior, complete with instrument cluster and is equipped with an advanced set of batteries.

Electric vehicle will be presented in premiere at the Detroit Auto Show (16-24 Jan 2010) is driven by an electric motor of 85 kW (111 hp) powered the set of Li-Ion batteries. Weighing 280 kg, batteries gives the vehicle acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 10.5 seconds, a speed of 130 km / h and an autonomy of 150 km. 2010 is the next step in small series production vehicles for testing. Some users select the Swedish company Volvo C30 will receive an electric vehicle that it will lead to a period of two years, and providing feedback regarding their experience.
