Volvo launches turbo petrol engine 2.0 GTDi of 203 hp and 300 Nm

Volvo has announced the introduction of a new propeller with four-cylinder 2.0-liter GTDi (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection) for the range Volvo S80, V70 and XC60, with good performance and efficiency.
The new turbo technology developed by Volvo, with direct fuel injection and Ti-VCT (Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing) offers a unique combination of low fuel consumption, low pollutant emissions and high performance on a wide range of speeds - all in a compact format.
The new petrol engine, 2.0 GTDi, produces 203 hp and maximum torque of 300 Nm from 1750 rpm EU5 compliance to pollution norms. "We managed to make a four-cylinder engine as powerful as one of the 2.5 liter five-cylinder, but more efficient in terms of consumption. This is very beneficial to our customers who want maximum performance but also the environment, with improved efficiency. "Said Magnus Jonsson, head of development at Volvo Cars.
According to the manufacturer, the Volvo S80 equipped with this engine and automatic transmission consumes just 8.3 litres/100 km, but has an acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 8.5 seconds.
