Volvo: new names for all engines

Starting from next month will change the nomenclature of Volvo engines present a list matching a number with progressive course (depending on power) to the classic letter indicating the power.

And so the current 1.6 diesel 115 PS will turn in D1, the 2.0 petrol 200 bhp and will right up to the T4 and T6 D6, 250 and 300 hp. An update is easy to understand, if not for the headaches created by small engines still unknown and placed at the ends of the list.

It can therefore venture that the D8 and T8 versions are subject to a tonic treatment from six-cylinder 3.0, while the D even 50 HP is positioned under the hood of a car - the C30? - Hybrid platform. Instead to decipher the nature of the T.
